Hello. Hello. Hello, everyone. So today we were talking about the best thing that you can do, the best questions that you can ask when you are trying to figure out who to hire, what to charge, how to make changes inside of your agency. So for those of you that don’t know me. Hello, my name is Nicole and I help done for you service providers step into the role of agency owner and lead a team that they love that delivers excellent client results.
So if you have ever been in a situation where you have raised your hand, either in a group program or a coaching relationship and you’re like, I don’t know who to hire, I don’t know what to charge. I don’t know, like our most ideal client, like what do I do to a coach? You’re not alone. I actually it’s funny actually just did this the other day it was into a coach. It was to a group of friends and like, just tell me what to do, right? And they like so lovingly, you know, I think they offered a suggestion but didn’t tell me what to do because they knew ultimately that it had to come from me. Right?
And so instead of asking your coach or outside like others who to hire and what to charge and really questions that an outsider can’t answer alone, right? Instead, I want you to focus on figuring out what is the strategy, what is the thought process that I need to actually go through in order for me to decide who I need to hire, what I need to charge, what clients I need to best like my agency would best work with.
So I was talking with a friend earlier today. A funny story, she was asking me how parenting was going. And I’m like, “Wow, my sons seven months now, I said, it’s going like way better now than it did in the first few weeks. I’m a new mom. No idea what I was doing.” And I thought about it for a while and I’m like, well, you know, I think part of the reason is because I’m, you know, getting more sleep now. I’m getting a little bit more confidence and experience. And I’m also just like surrendering to the fact that I don’t really have control, which is very challenging for me. And so it’s interesting. I shared the story about how he got his first cold cold a few weeks ago. He had a fever. He got a cold and I was just like beside myself and I didn’t know what to do. And I reached out to a friend who’s been like my best friend for so long and who’s another mom, and it’s kind of my go to and she’s like, OK, let’s like, think through this, right? And she started asking questions like, OK, has does he have a fever? Is he drinking? Is he going to the bathroom? Have you given him Motrin? And like all of this stuff, right? Really like thinking through this so that I got to a point where I knew what I needed to do next.
And ultimately, while it wasn’t great, you know, I don’t like when I’m sick. It was very challenging to have like my poor little beautiful infant that was sick. We got through it and I went into the situation not knowing what to do and kind of like reaching out and trying to have somebody tell me what to do. To really understanding, like, what are some of the questions I need to be asking myself in order to figure this out for myself next time? And so it totally sucked. But now I feel more confident for when he gets his next cold, even though it might be different. I know what questions to ask. I know how to troubleshoot. I know when to call the doctor right?
And most importantly, I felt empowered. I felt like I could trust myself because I knew I, I had the ability and I had the questions to ask myself to be able to figure out what needed to happen next. Right. So learning to create strategies and how to think through situations is so powerful, right? It is empowering. And ultimately it is your leadership being able to make these decisions. And so when you’re asking yourself the question of who do I hire and X and what should my offerings be, any time clients will tell you any time somebody comes to me and says, like, what should I charge? I always ask them, OK, did you go through? We have a worksheet called The Offerings at Scale Worksheet inside of my program AGENCY, which helps them strategize and figure out what they need to charge.
Now I am happy to provide feedback, of course, right? But ultimately that initial work needs to come from them. And the purpose of why I do this is because I don’t want someone to be dependent on me to have to figure out their pricing, right? Obviously, I’m fine to be, you know, a guide, and I want to give feedback and think through things and be kind of a third party. But ultimately, I want to get my clients in a position where they know how to think through this themselves. I want to teach them how to strategize and think through things versus me just doing it for them, right? Same thing goes with who to hire next.
And that’s a big thing that I support my clients with inside of agency, which is a program that actually teaches you how to delegate client delivery, hire and team members to be able to delegate client delivery. And so when the question comes up, who do I hire next? I teach them the strategy for figuring out how to know who to hire next, because you were always as you grow your business. You’re going to keep coming back to these things time and time again. And this is what I call the foundations of your business and the foundations method inside of my program. Right?
We take a look at your offerings. We take a look at your processes. We take a look at your ideal clients. We take a look at your numbers, right? And as your business grows, these foundations need to shift to grow rhythm right? It’s like a tree, right? As the branches grow right, the roots grow to support the tree. And so it doesn’t stay the same always right. It evolves and it grows and it changes. So we want to make sure that as you’re going through this, you’re actually learning the strategies. That ultimately is what creates a better leader within yourself, right? And you can start to trust yourself more and have more confidence in yourself so that when you’re coming to the table and looking to strategize, you’ve already gone through the process of knowing, you know what? This is, what my numbers look like and knowing where I want to go in the next six months. I have like two options. I could charge this amount or I could charge this amount, right?
And now I have a decision by I at least have the foundational elements and the foundational information to be able to even present that to get feedback, right. So the title of this is stop asking your coach who to hire and what to charge. And instead, what I want you to do is I want you to start asking what is the strategy and what do I need to think through in order to figure out who to hire and what to charge? And this is everything that my program AGENCY teaches.
So when it comes to delegating client delivery, there’s several things that you need to do. So the first is really taking a look at those foundational elements of your business to make sure that you have offerings that are scalable. You know what to pay people. You know what to price your services at, right? And you know how to create those scalable processes so that as you bring in more clients, your team is set up with a repeatable process that, of course, can be customized to a degree or flexible right, but ultimately is very repeatable. So we want you to have repeatable or scalable offerings, right?
And then delegation what to delegate, who to delegate it to and when to delegate it. So we don’t just teach you the how we do teach you the how we teach you how to hire. We teach you how to delegate. We teach you how to create standard operating procedures and how to successfully onboard somebody into a new position. Whether there are a new hire or whether they’re a team member you already have and you’re onboarding them into a new and new role in your business. We teach the how, but what comes first is the strategy. So there’s so many programs out there that just teach you the how. And that’s great, you know, and sometimes you may already know the strategy and you just want to learn how to do this one thing.
However, what I have found from being an agency owner myself and working with dozens of agency owners as they’ve grown is that you have to keep revisiting these areas. And if you don’t have a strategy, you don’t have the clarity that you need to know what exactly it is that you need to be implementing. And so this is where I see business owners and sometimes they’ll describe it as that. They’re on this hamster wheel and they can’t really get off of the wheel or they’re stuck in a burnout cycle and they can’t really get off of that wheel. And so we take time inside of AGENCY to be able to teach the strategy so that you ultimately can start making some of these decisions and and slowing down the wheel right and eventually getting off the wheel.
And this really is what leadership is, is the ability to be able to think through situations and be able to make decisions and the confidence in that so that when you do go out and you do ask for support, whether it be from a team member or a coach, a friend, right, you have something that you’re bringing to the table to actually get feedback on.
All right, everyone. So if you are interested in learning more about the strategy and the thought process behind who to hire and what to charge and how to create scalable processes and how to delegate so that you’re delegating the right things at the right time so that you’re not paying for things that you don’t need and you actually have a roadmap, right? And some goals of what you need to hit in order to be able to bring on the next team support to take you to the next level. Highly recommend you. Check out my program agency.

We want to really be able to go within and trust ourselves and have the confidence and like, learn the strategies to be able to walk through some of the decisions we need to make so that we, we we are more confident in the future, even if it might look different, right? I know my kids are going to get sick again, and now that I’ve been through it once, I’m like, OK, right? I know the questions to ask. I know when to reach out. I know I have a thought process to work through so that the next time this happens, I feel more confident, right? I am starting to step into more of my leadership as a parent.
