In this episode, I am sharing why I believe group programs are superior to one on one coaching. I break down the 3 common reasons why people tend to want to stay out of group programs and why my program, AGENCY, doesn’t include 1:1 support.

Today, I’m coming at you talking about group programs, and if you are someone who has ever thought I am done with group programs, this one’s for you. All right. So this is the deal. My new program agency is a group program. It helps business owners delegate at least 50 percent of client delivery in 12 months or less. And a few people, just a few have asked if it includes one on one support. And I am happy to share and proudly with them that the answer is no. It does not include one on one support. And so before you say, oh, no, not for me. I don’t want another group program. I want something that’s more supportive. I want to share with you why. And I want you to also know that I used to be a person who also only wanted one on one support. And usually, the reason why people do not want to buy into a group program is because of a few things.
One, they were in a group program. Their questions weren’t answered, or when they ask a question, they weren’t really given customized advice or they weren’t coached to make something work for their business. Instead, they were kind of given blanket answers like just go do it. It’s like a mindset thing, you know, move forward. And while, yes, sometimes that can be advice, it wasn’t given based on the person or the coach or the coaching team understanding that person’s business and really understanding what was underneath the question that they were asking.
Other reasons why people haven’t wanted to join a group program is that when they have said that they were struggling with something, the coach or coaching team would kind of just like put it back on them and again, not give them that customized support.
And then lastly, and this is kind of the most common one, is that they didn’t get the result they expected. It’s like, oh, well, I signed up for this program with all of these things about how life would look like afterward. And I didn’t get that.
And so I share this because I have been in group programs. I’ve been through programs that did not work for me. But I will say I have experienced group programs that are even better than one on one. And this is what I know and what I have learned. And this is the recipe for a great group program. So if you are considering joining a group program, whether that be AGENCY or any other group program, I want you to know about these things so that you can make a choice that works for you.
So the first thing that a group program needs to be successful is a program promise, a very specific program promise. So, for example, with AGENCY, the program promise is that you will delegate at least 50 percent of client delivery in 12 months or less. Do you see how specific that is? It’s not vague. I always say vague doesn’t scale, which was funny and kind of separate, but it’s not vague. It’s not like, well, help you grow and scale your business. Right. That’s a little vague. It’s like, well, how and through what method. Right? So it has to be really specific and it also has to be something that the coach or business owner or whatever, whoever’s hosting this program is willing to stand by. It may be a guarantee. It may be something along the lines of what’s backing that program promise. And so with that, once you’ve clearly defined, like what the result is from signing up for this group program, there needs to be a proven process.
So the proven process means that in order for us to get you to this program, promise, for example, with AGENCY, it’s delegating fifty percent of client delivery in twelve months or less. There needs to be a framework of how to do that. Right? And it needs to have been run through and tested and developed throughout time, throughout that experience that the business owner has had coaching, supporting other business owners. And so, for example, with AGENCY, we have developed this process based on coaching done for you service providers for almost five years. In addition, I also was an agency owner myself and delegated client delivery. But it’s not just from my experience, because I also believe that just because I did something doesn’t mean that what I did exactly is going to work for everyone. Right? And so while it’s great that I have that experience and I have that understanding and perspective, it’s also important that I work with people and see what works not just for me, but what works for them. Right?
And so when I talk about proven process, it’s the fact that it’s been run by and tested and tweaked through multiple people, not just the business owner through months, years of doing this. So that’s again. An example, the third is support, right? So we talked about program promise, proven process and the support structure that’s in place. So, you know, when you are going to implement the proven process, there are going to be times where you’re going to need feedback based on the business that you are growing. And so I think it’s important, again, we want to be really specific. So my program promises that we help people delegate client delivery, meaning done for you service providers. I’m not talking about this program is not for coaches to delegate their coaching client delivery. This is specifically for done for you service providers.
So when you go to implement, though, even though you are a service provider, the way that you run your business might be different than the way somebody else does. And I love that’s why I love different assessments and gathering different pieces of information to make sure that we can customize that framework to work for you. So there needs to be support structures and coaching in place to be able to customize and tweak that framework to work for you and your business and your team and your people. And that’s where things like having a really engaged Facebook group with someone who’s in there, who’s asking questions and giving customized answers and results. That’s where it’s helpful to have like the group calls that actually have a call structure to be able to support multiple people so that everyone gets something out of those calls and that it’s structured in a really powerful way to make sure, again, that people are getting the results and the promise.
So what I have seen is that oftentimes coaches add one on one calls or use one on one calls as a crutch because they don’t have some of these things in place, especially the program promise, it might be too vague. And it’s OK if it’s intentionally vague like it’s OK if coaches have one on one programs, if they have one on one inside of masterminds like I’m not talking about mastermind’s or one on one or courses or any of that, I’m talking about group programs like it’s OK for something to be a little bit more vague. But my recommendation is that if you want to see success in a group program that doesn’t have one on one support or even that does have one on one support, because honestly, I have been in a group program that has one on one support and I’ve still felt completely I completely lost. So this kind of again, I’m talking about group programs here to make sure that, one, the program has a strong program promise that you actually need. Right?
So if you’re coming to me as a done for your service provider and you’re like, I want to grow my business, but I don’t want to delegate client delivery, then like don’t sign up for agency or don’t apply for AGENCY, right? But by me communicating that that is exactly what the agency program is, you at least can make that decision and know that and that the coach stands by the program promise. So the second thing right. Is the coach has a proven process and track record to deliver that result. And three, that there are systems in place to get you that feedback when you need it. And these are all questions that now moving forward, when you step into a group program, especially one that doesn’t have one on one or again, even if it does, you can ask these questions and make sure that it’s like a really great decision for you.
And like I said, I have worked with coaches and all different types of containers, one on one, masterminds, group coaching, this thing that it was called a mastermind but it was really more like a group program. And I will say, like I have seen incredible results from group programs that don’t have one on one support. And it’s because it had a mixture of these components.
And so I share this with you again, if you’re interested in signing up for AGENCY to give you a little bit more information on on why we’ve structured it, it’s very intentional. And even if the agency isn’t for you, but you do, you’re interested in signing it for a group program and you want to be able to make an informed decision. Here are some things to think about, too.
So if you are in a position where you’re done for your service provider and you’re looking to step into the agency on a role and CEO role in your business, if you are booked out with a wait list or very close to it, if you have a proven service that people want, you are in demand and you are looking to delegate client delivery at least 50 percent and 12 months or less. Maybe you’ve tried it before and it hasn’t worked. And so you’ve hired people and fired people. Or maybe you have people, but it’s not working well or you haven’t hired anyone on your team before, but you really want to do it the right way. And you are at this point where you’re ready to have this type of support. Applications are now open for my program agency. You can learn more by heading over to NicoleJacksonMiller.com/apply.
